Stephen and his team of experts removed a massive silver maple from our front yard. Much of the tree hung over our house, they used extreme care and skill to protect our roof from branches coming down on it.

How We Do It

How Our Tree Removal Service Works

Most of the trees we take down are too close to a house, a fence, a garden, or a power line to simply fell in one piece. We climb or use a bucket truck to dismantle the tree in sections, rigging each limb and log down under control so nothing lands where it should not.

For the largest and most dangerous trees, a crane lets us lift whole sections clear of the property instead of dropping them, which protects your landscaping and gets the job done faster. We will tell you up front when a crane is the right call.

Every removal is led by an ISA Certified Arborist and a trained crew that works together day in and day out. We clean up completely before we leave and haul away the wood and debris. When the job calls for it, we grind the stump in the same visit so you get the spot back, and on some jobs it makes more sense to handle the stump separately. We will tell you which makes sense for yours.

One thing worth knowing before you call anyone: tree removal is one of the few home services where hiring the wrong company can leave you holding the bill. If an uninsured crew drops a limb through your roof, or a climber gets hurt on your property, that lands on you. We carry Washington contractor license PRIORTS781KC and full liability and workers comp coverage, and we are glad to send you the certificate before we start. Ask every company you call for theirs.

Getting Started

How to Book Tree Removal in Vancouver, WA

Hiring us is four steps, and the first two cost you nothing.

  1. Tell Us About the Tree

Call or text us, or send the form with a photo if you have one. Jessica runs the schedule and will get you on the calendar.

  2. We Come Out and Look

Stephen walks the tree with you, checks the lean, the decay, and what sits underneath it, then tells you what he would do. The visit is free and there is nothing to sign.

  3. You Get It in Writing

A written estimate with the work spelled out and cleanup and haul-away included, so you know the number before you say yes to anything.

  4. We Take It Down and Clean Up

The same trained crew every time. Tree comes down in sections, wood goes on the truck, site gets raked, and the stump gets ground if you asked for it.

Why It Matters

Why Vancouver, WA Homeowners Hire Us for Tree Removal

A real safety plan

We assess lean, decay, targets, and drop zones before a single cut, so the tree comes down on our terms, not gravity's.

Property protection

Careful rigging, bucket trucks, and crane work keep weight off your roof, fence, lawn, and garden beds.

Led by a certified arborist

An ISA Certified Arborist is on the job, not a rotating crew of day labor. The same trained team, every time.

Clean when we leave

We haul the wood and debris, rake the site, and grind the stump on the same visit when it is the right call. You get your yard back, finished.

What It Costs

What Affects Tree Removal Cost in Vancouver, WA

We do not publish a flat rate, because two trees of the same height can be completely different jobs. Here is what actually moves the number, so you know what we are reading when we walk your property.

Height and Trunk Diameter
A 40-foot alder and a 120-foot Douglas fir are not the same day of work. Bigger trees mean more rigging, more time in the canopy, and a lot more wood to haul.
What Sits Underneath It
A tree with an open field to fall into is the simple version. One over your roof, your fence, a septic drainfield, or a power line has to come down piece by piece.
Access for the Equipment
If the truck and chipper can get close, the job moves fast. A backyard behind a narrow gate means every log gets carried out by hand, and that is time.
Condition of the Tree
Dead, hollow, and storm-damaged trees are unpredictable to climb, so they often call for a bucket truck or a crane rather than a climber on a rope.
What Happens to the Wood
Haul-away is included. If you would rather we buck the rounds and stack them for firewood, or leave the chips for your beds, tell us and we will work it in.
Stump, or No Stump
Grinding the stump is optional, and plenty of people skip it. We price the removal both ways so the choice is actually yours.

Every estimate is free, in writing, and holds for the work as described. We would rather spend twenty minutes in your driveway getting the number right than surprise you on the invoice.

Common Questions

Tree Removal in Vancouver, WA: FAQ

How much does tree removal cost in Vancouver, WA?

Tree removal cost depends on the tree's size, location, lean, and what is underneath it, so there is no flat rate. The biggest factors are height, trunk diameter, how close the tree is to your house or power lines, and whether the job needs a crane. We come out, look at the job in person, and give you a clear written tree removal estimate at no charge. No surprises once we start.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Vancouver or Clark County?

Sometimes. Rules vary by city, lot size, tree size, and whether the tree is near a critical area. As an ISA Certified Arborist-led team we can tell you what is likely required and provide an arborist report if your jurisdiction needs one.

Can you remove a tree that is close to my house or power lines?

Yes, that is most of what we do. We dismantle trees in sections with rigging, bucket trucks, or a crane so limbs and logs never free-fall toward your home, fence, or the lines.

Will you grind the stump too?

That part is optional and up to you. Grinding the stump stops regrowth and lets you reclaim the space for grass, a garden, or a new planting, but plenty of folks leave it and spend that part of the budget elsewhere. We will price the removal both ways so you can choose what fits your needs and budget.

Do you serve all of Clark County?

We do, from Vancouver, Salmon Creek, and Hazel Dell out to Battle Ground, Ridgefield, Camas, Washougal, and the rural areas in between.
